It's been a while since I have last written about what I'm up to. Recently I have been much more open about sharing my artwork with others. Since my last post, I have been published in a magazine, I have been featured in a permanent art gallery at my school, and I have decided to take on writing a children's book.

Im excited for the opportunities that lie ahead. I have decided that after graduating with my BS in Biology, I am going to pursue my art and put medical school on hold for a bit. I believe that life should be enjoyed.

We shouldn't live our lives in fear. We fear the unknown. People will live their lives being afraid and using "what if" as their justification for doing so. I for one, chose to explore the what ifs and use them as an opportunity to grow, to learn, to explore, and to discover myself.

Often times, we make decisions and later come to regret them, or ponder over if we made the right ones. The beauty is that, not matter what choices we make, we grow and we learn. Which each choice and each experience we become more dynamic. People say that our past doesn't define us, I disagree. Each choice we make, problem that we are faced with, and how we respond are stepping stones toward finding ourselves.

There are those who believe art wont get anywhere, and that it is definitely something that I should, "do on the side".

These people must not know me as well as they think they do because my strongest motivator of reaching my goals, are those who doubt me and tell me that I can't. Rather than doubting myself, I will push myself and prove to them, and my doubts, that I can do anything that I put my mind to.
